Friday likes: Rustic finds

I have so many nice favorites over at Etsy and on Pinterest. So I'll be starting to share some of those with you every Friday. Besides making things myself I also support fellow handcrafters and buy handmade as often as possible. It feels so good to know where the items come from and who have made them and to know the story behind the things you buy.

Wrap around baby boots

A close friend of mine gave birth to a little baby girl a while ago. Although I make my own patterns and have a hard time following patterns written by others I like to try out new patterns occasionally. Just because it sometimes is so much easier to just read and crochet. Clothes for babies are fun to make too since they are pretty fast to make.

I made these cute wrap around boots according to a free pattern available here. They fit perfectly and the wrap around design is great since it stays on much better that way.

The invitations

 Here is a little peek of our wedding invitations. Haven't finished the prototype yet but we have settled for the combo dymo letters + aged wood + red hues. I love the aged wood paper! It's double sided so the cards will have wood on the inside too. We'll see how I like the idea of using the dymo after I've made 40 cards....

It's March already!

And I've been gone for over two months! Sorry about that...

I've been busy planning my wedding, working, writing my thesis, skiing and being sick. I'm better now. I've been having terrible almost daily headaches since early December. Been to several doctors tried too many different medicines but nothing worked. I've been much better now for a month so hoping that the headaches are gone now.

Spring is almost here and I'm filled with inspiration again. I've bought my wedding dress and some other things for our wedding. Also working on invitations and will be showing you a sneak peek soon...
